Chris has worked for the Ministry of Tourism and the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature in Jordan, preparing land management plans to reverse deforestation, protect the settings of important cultural and tourism assets and control urban sprawl. The work also examined the effect of climate change on the natural environment.

In response to concerns from UNESCO on the potentially damaging effects of development within the Pitons World Heritage Site Chris worked with the Government of St Lucia to prepare a management plan (officially known as a Limits of Acceptable Change study).

Irving Oil of Canada wished to create a legacy in the form of parks and public open spaces in memory of the founder of the company. Chris worked out in Canada to design and oversee the construction of a park, which formed the setting for a memorial statue, inaugurated by the Canadian Prime Minister.
